Over the next couple weeks I will be writing a series of blogs on what items in my kitchen I cannot live without and why I would never want to be without them. If you have questions, I’ve got answers! Post your comments below and I’ll get back to you right away!
2% Fage Plain Greek Yogurt
I love this stuff. Greek yogurt is versatile tasty and is chuck full of protein and calcium. I heavily favor Fage brand greek yogurt because it has the creamiest texture and the most mild flavor. There are other quality brands of Greek Yogurt on the market – just be sure and check the label. Some brands use additives to create a creamy texture, so make sure the ingrident list does not look like a chemistry project. One serving of this yogurt has 25 grams of protein and 20% DV of calcium for only 150 calories. Did someone say nutrient dense? I eat Fage every morning for breakfast with a half a serving of defrosted frozen blueberries, raw almonds, a dash of cinnamon and a packet of Stevia. In addition to being a great breakfast, Greek yogurt can be used to make healthful desserts and in savory dishes as well. I have included a few links to some of my favorite recipes. Do you have a favorite brand of Greek Yogurt? Please tell me what it is and where to find it!
